“ Joe's Stone Crab is like a place you love to go, because everything is just so good. The front hosts, the servers, the bussers, just everyone that works there is in the business of creating smiles for miles. The only issue I had tonight was my Porterhouse was overcooked. I asked for Pittsburgh black and blue, and it was not charred and a but more cooked than rare with the 1st one came out. The 2nd one they made was absolutely perfect. Hey...if I'm spending my dollars on a meal, it needs to be perfect or it's going back to the kitchen. 5/5 $15.95 Caesar Salad was delicious, love the parmesan cheese presentation. 5/5 $134.95 Jumbo Stone Crabs (4) were delicious too esp their mustard dipping sauce which I used on my Porterhouse steak as well. 5/5 $99.95 Porterhouse Steak was perfect after their 2nd try since I sent back the 1st one that wasn't done the way I asked for it. 4/5 $15.95 Broccolini was good, but some of the stem part was a bit hard 5/5 $13.95 Key Lime Pie here is the absolute best anywhere in the country. And I have had it in many places. Dropped 5 bills for 2 but it was so well worth it. A place everyone needs to check out. ”

We tried lychee (our fave), cucumber, and key lime (rich and desserty) - Crab claws: what they're famous for. We had a full dinner later so was glad we could get a 1/2 order which was 3 claws. 5 stars - Mini crab cakes: 4 in an order and these were packed full of crab instead of fillers and lightly breaded. 5 stars - Clientele: locals and visitors Midlights: - Bartender: bit on the grumpier side and hard to flag down Lowlights: - Happy hour only on weekdays Monday-Thursday - Cannot get the full menu at the bar during dinner - You do need to come early to get a seat at the bar. We arrive few minutes before it opened at 4:25pm on a Thursday and snagged the last 2 seats together. Loved our visit here and would've came back for a full meal if we had more time. ”

“ We stopped by for happy hour at the Joe's Stone Crab bar in South Beach Miami. We shared the Seafood Trio $74.95. Fresh and delicious but too expensive for what you get. We also shared the Stuffing Mushrooms $11.95. Four large mushrooms were delicious and a good price. It is an upscale famous restaurant that has been around for years. We enjoyed our time and service is great. ”

“ I'm sure that everything that could possibly be said about Joe's Stone Crab has already been said, but there's definitely a reason that it is so famous and beloved by so many. That being said, I grew up hardly eating any seafood at all, much less crab (or stone crab). So when my friends invited me for an evening at Joe's after the SOBE Wine & Food Festival, I wasn't sure, but I decided to go anyways. I was nervous that even in one of the most prominent stone crab restaurants in the world, I wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the experience that I was so lucky have in the first place! Nothing could be further from the truth. From the first moment we arrived until we departed, the service and overall experience was above and beyond what I could have ever expected. We had a lovely time hanging out at the bar before the restaurant opened. And I had the fun and new (to me) experience of being part of the herd of eager eaters being called party by party as the dining room opened. Seeing the servers lined up and ready to take us to our seat was so special, and it made the beginning of the evening more like an event that a simple dinner. Our every need was tended to by very warm and caring staff. Of note, as soon as my water glass was 3/4 full, it was topped off consistently for the entire evening! We ordered a bottle of Savignon Blanc, stuffies, large claws, and hashed brown potatoes. The wine was delicious. The stuffies were amazing - this was my first time trying clams, and if all clam dishes are like this one (I know they aren't), I will have become a lifelong lover of clams! Then came the huge plate of crab claws. What a sight! And again, to make the meal into a full experience, my friends enjoyed having a bib put on them by our server. I am sitting here two days later still thinking about those claws. I can't believe that I spent 46 years on this earth without trying crab, but I'm sure glad that my first experience was at Joe's! The claws were sweet and fresh and absolutely divine with a squeeze of lime and dipped in the mustard sauce. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a wonderful crust. Everything that I've ever heard about the establishment is 100% true, and I can't wait to go back again to try everything else they have on the menu! ”

“ This is a must every time I visit Miami Beach. Outstanding as always!! Ronnie made it a great experience even though he considers himself to still be a newbie after 22 years. Cocktails were expertly crafted. Cole slaw was amazing. Stone crab was fresh and delicious. Fried chicken, always a bargain, was perfectly cooked. Creamed spinach and lyonnaise potatoes were incredible. We finished with key lime pie that was perfect. And you won't get better coffee anywhere. All served in a beautiful location with white linens. Always very busy but they are expert in amazing service. ”

“ The service is amazing. Simple, fine dining with great attention to detail without being stuffy. The decor has a classic feel. I had a yummy espresso martini with Bailey's added. My appetizer: stone crab bisque. My entree: stone crab & their famous fried chicken with hashed brown potatoes. Dessert: creme brûlée cheesecake. I had my 3 stone crabs with warm butter & they were succulent & sweet. The fried chicken had great crispiness but needed more seasoning. The potatoes were a miss for me, they lacked flavor. The blueberry jam & lemon custard served with the crème brûlée were perfect accompaniments. ”

“ Excellent food, service, vibes. Pro tip: they don't take formal reservations, but you can join their maitre d list on their website (I believe) 2 weeks in advance which gives you priority when you arrive (but seating time is not guaranteed). If you go earlier, you might get seated more timely. I had a group of 11, signed the maitre d list for 6 pm on a Tuesday night, and our table was ready when we arrived. We just had to all be present to be seated first. I've never had stone crab before, but I highly recommend. It was delicious. I prefer my crab warm, but this is served chilled, they pre crack it for you, and it makes it easy to get the meat out. It was good! Barely needed to use the mustard sauce they give because it had a lot of flavor on its own. Also, I learned that they cut off a crab claw, throw the crab back in the water, and they grow the claw back! Makes me happier knowing that stone crab claws are not killing crabs just to get the claws! :) For apps, we shared a salad (forget which one but it was vegetarian) and a Caesar salad. We had stuffies, stuffed mushrooms also. Personally, I wouldn't order the apps again. I'd just save my stomach for the stone crab and some sides. I shared the large size stone crab entree with a coworker. We still couldn't finish it all because of the apps and sides. For sides, we got the hashbrowns (delicious), stuffed tomatoes (ok but would skip next time), creamed spinach, and asparagus. The green sides were ok, nothing too crazy. I honestly would just get crab and maybe a side dish or two next time. The crab is where it's at. We also got the Alaskan king crab legs which were served warm, but they were a little more fishy tasting, not sure if that's normal, but it made me prefer the stone crab over them. And that dish is pricey, so I'd still stick to the stone crab. Basically, get the stone crab, and you won't regret it. ”

“ The stone crabs were absolutely delicious despite the 2 hr wait on a January Friday evening. We got to the venue at 6 pm and didn't get seated till 8 pm. Our waiter advised us to go before 6 pm or after 9 pm next time if we want to beat the dinner rush. We ordered 2 select stone crabs, 2 orders of upgrades and 1 order of fried chicken. For two people, 2 select orders and an order of one upgrade would have been enough. We packed up the leftover fried chicken, sides and key lime pie and gave it to a homeless person so not to waste perfectly delicious food. For those that are not familiar with how much you get per stone crab order, our waiter informed us the following: - Medium - .5 lbs (7 claws) - Select - .75 lbs (6 claws) - Large - 1.25 lbs (5 claws) - Jumbo - 1.5 lbs (3-4 claws) ”

“ Wow! This place is crazy packed. We waited almost 60 minutes for our table even being on the maitre d list. Note, they do not take reservations. So plan accordingly and be prepared to wait. As for the food and service, it's top notch. We had coconut shrimp, stone crab, key lime pie. It was delish! I definitely plan on coming back again and ordering the exact same thing. Lol The restaurant had an old Florida flare to it. The maitre d, servers, and bus boys all dressed to the 10s in their suits and bow ties. I felt like I was in an old black and white movie. I highly recommend dressing up but I saw a ton of people more business casual attire. ”

“ Was it worth the 2.5hr wait? Ummmmm I don't think so. But minus the wait all the dishes were good and the service was wonderful! The servings were really generous, definitely a family style. We ordered not having that in mind and had TOO much food, but it was nice to had a taste of a lot of different dishes. We had a great time with friends. The table favorite was the lobster Mac& cheese and the stone crab claws. ”
